Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi

You’re here and ready to explore! We’ll jump into the hustle of Hanoi with a walking and rickshaw tour of the city. Get excited for the best street food you’ll taste as we soak in the contagious energy of the capital. Have your cameras ready – you’ll be wanting to capture the rustic colonial buildings and themed trading streets. We’ll go out for dinner and drinks together to enjoy Hanoi after dark.

Day 2: Rickshaw exploring

Not a day to lose, we’re riding a VIP limousine bus from Hanoi to the hills in northern Vietnam to take in the breathtaking scenery. We’re meeting ethnic groups here and then trekking out to Muong Hoa Valley to uncover more of Vietnam’s stunning nature and villages. We’ll stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van Village to learn about the culture, customs and ways of life over a traditional dinner and rice wine.

Day 3: Sapa trekking

We’ll continue trekking through terraced hills and waterfalls and be constantly overwhelmed by the picturesque landscapes and beautiful mountain views. In the afternoon, a quick drive takes us back to Sapa, where we’ll check in to our mountainside hotel and enjoy a well-earned rest in peaceful surroundings.

Day 4: Villages & mountains

Wake up on your own time and explore Sapa the way you want with free time this morning. You have the option to take a cable car up Fan Si Pan Peak, which has a summit over 3100m. The viewpoint is described as the roof of Indochina and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. In the evening, we’ll board an overnight train for a unique experience as we travel back to Hanoi.

Day 5: Explore Sapa town

From Hanoi we’ll travel to beautiful Ha Long Bay. We’re staying onboard a luxurious boat tonight. Famous for emerald waters, thousands of limestone islands and caves, and thick rainforests, we’ll get lost in this magical world heritage site as we kayak, swim, and relax on the sundeck. In the evening enjoy a glorious sunset from the deck and tuck into a fresh dinner before some drinks.

Day 6: Ha Long Bay overnight boat

Today we’ll visit Ninh Binh, the small city in the Red River Delta with endless rice paddies, tall limestone mountains and mysterious caves. Visit the Thai Vi Temple and take in the serene surroundings to reconnect with nature in this awe-inspiring spot. We’re staying in cosy traditional bungalows tonight by the river at a local homestay.

Day 7: Travel to Ninh Binh

We’re exploring the rural paradise of Ninh Binh today via bike riding to weave through rice paddies and then taking a local rowboat through a network of rivers and caves. Then we’ll hike up to the Dragon Mountain viewpoint for epic views that will take your breath away. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a well-earned rest back at our bungalows.

Day 8: Bike rides, row boats & an epic hike

Day 9: Explore Hoi An

Let’s get our fishing on! Local fishermen will be our guides today as we weave through coconut groves learning the art of crab fishing. We’ll then take a hands-on cooking class to create our own Vietnamese cuisine masterpieces. The afternoon is free time to relax, jump in the pool, treat yourself to a massage or take a nap if you fancy! This evening we’ll experience a cultural Bamboo show.

Day 10: Basket fishing & cooking class

Pack your sun cream and swimsuit! There’s more bike riding in-store today, this time through the idyllic fields to the coast to enjoy a chilled beach day. We’ll stay here all day until we watch the colourful sunset whilst having dinner and drinks by the sea.

Day 11: Beaches & sunsets

After a relaxing morning of free time, we’re catching our second internal flight to the largest city in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City. Explore the rich culture, classic French architecture, and modern cityscape in Vietnam’s economic hub. We’ll head out onto the streets for some dinner, then up to a rooftop bar for drinks overlooking Ho Chi Minh’s stunning night skyline.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City

From the city to nature again. We’re venturing out into the lush beauty of the Mekong River Delta for a special overnight experience. We’ll gain glimpses into authentic Vietnam in this maze of rivers, swamps, islands, and home to floating markets. We’ll get to see locals live and work on the river and check-in to a family-run homestay for the evening.

Day 13: Local life

Breathe history at the Cu Chi tunnels. We’ll learn about this hand-dug underground network that played a crucial role in the Vietnam War. Explore the supply routes, hideouts, and actual living quarters for soldiers. Returning to Ho Chi Minh City, we’ll dress sharp for our farewell dinner and get our party on!

Day 14: Cu Chi Tunnels

Just like that, your epic 15-day adventure has reached its end. If your time in Vietnam is over, make your way to the airport. Otherwise, explore options to extend your stay!
