Enjoy a unique stay at the Fremantle Prison YHA. Built in the 1850's it's the only accommodation in Western Australia with UNESCO World Heritage Status. If you’re feeling brave, sleep in the actual prison cells! The hostel has an additional purpose-built building with ensuite private rooms for luxurious travellers. All rooms are air-conditioned, and offer free, fast Wi-Fi, linen, individual bed lights, and powerpoints, and access to the games room, communal kitchen, and BBQ. The private rooms offer the option of a private bathroom, TV, and fridge. Rooms located in the actual cells do not have air conditioning or heating. Facilities and services include air conditioning, car parking (extra charge), Wi-Fi access, wheelchair access, ramp access, tour desk, self-service laundry, free luggage storage, games and cinema room, and BBQ/Picnic area. Children are welcome at this property but cannot be accommodated in the co-living (shared) rooms. Guests under the age of 17 can only check in with a parent or designated guardian*. Children aged 17 will need a letter from a parent or official guardian to stay in private rooms only.’ *Designated guardians must have written permission from a parent/legal guardian. This includes school groups.
